Gloucester High School varsity softball team junior Cameron Palas earned her 100th career RBI during the March 27 home game against the Hampton Crabbers.
Entering the game, Cameron Palas only needed two RBIs to reach her 100th career RBI. She achieved this by recording four hits and four RBIs to finish the game with 102 career RBIs.
As a freshman, Palas drove in 38 RBIs to lead Gloucester’s offense. Palas finished her freshman campaign with nine doubles, a triple and four home runs, while hitting .452 for the season.
Her sophomore year, Palas drove in 52 RBIs to once again lead the Lady Dukes offense in that category. She ended the season with eight doubles, four triples and six home runs and received all-state honors.
After only five games, this is the fastest a GHS softball player has ever reached her 100th career RBI. Just eight games into her junior season, Palas has achieved 19 hits with two doubles, a home run and 15 RBIs.
