Three artists will offer three dramatically different approaches to painting in upcoming classes at Arts on Main in Gloucester.
On Saturday, Rebecca West will show students how to create large impasto palette knife paintings with oil and acrylic paints. The class will be held from 4-8 p.m. at a cost of $60. Students are required to bring oil or acrylic paint, a 24” x 30” canvas, a paintbrush assortment, and a few palette knives.
Later that night, from 7-8, Hanah Hailey will show students how to use the “Flip Cup” method of acrylic pour painting during her popular Paint & Sip class. The cost is $45, with all materials provided by the instructor. A cash bar will be available.
Finally, Jan Finn-Duffy will teach beginner watercolor techniques as students create a sunflower painting during “Sunflower Power,” a class to be held from 6-8 p.m. next Thursday, Sept. 19. The cost is $45, with all supplies provided by the instructor. Ages 14 and up welcome.
