Overturned lamp almost causes a calamity

Bohannon: Mr. J.B. White’s house came near to being burned on Thursday night of last week by the overturning of a lamp caused by a falling picture. It was extinguished in time, however, before much damage was done.
Miss Maude Minter entertained a small party at dinner on Friday evening in honor of Miss Maude Vandervort, of West Virginia.
