Orval Warren Redhair, 94, of Gloucester, Va., passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at his home. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and was the son of the late Orval and Katherine Redhair. During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Yorktown, CVN-10. He was a teacher in the York County Public Schools, was principal of Seaford School, and was a former member of the York County School Board. He was a diehard golfer and avid Pittsburgh Steeler Fan.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Redhair, and is survived by his daughter, Kathy James (Jim), and son, Paul James (Cindy Lou); his companion, Amelia “Millie” Blackburn; her children, Lisa and M. Lee Blackburn, Kim and David Pickett; a granddad for Younder and Nova Ealisa and Heather’s grandkids, Tim and Grayland Nelson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March, 13, 2023, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Windsor Gardens Cemetery, Dutton.
