Organist kicks off Arts at Abingdon Concert Series

Concert organist Michael Hey will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, at Abingdon Episcopal Church, 4645 George Washington Memorial Highway, White Marsh.
This is the first concert in 35th year of the Arts at Abingdon Concert Series. Admission is free, with a free-will offering accepted. No reservations are required.
Hey has been described as “flashy” and “exciting” by The American Organist Magazine, and he has been increasingly visible on U.S. and international stages, said a press release.
A 2014 graduate of The Juilliard School, Hey holds both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in organ performance under Paul Jacobs. Within a year of his graduation, he was appointed organist and associate director of music at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City.
