Opry presents tribute to the Eagles

Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry will pay tribute to one of the greatest rock bands, the Eagles, in a concert beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Harry M. Ward Auditorium at Mathews High School.
The concert will feature the Opry’s house band, Shades of Country, as well as the Li’l Ole Opry regulars. Doors open at 7:30.
From early songs like “Take it Easy” and “Desperado” to the more recent releases like “How Long” and “Love Will Keep Us Alive,” the cast will present a collection of the Eagles’ greatest hits. The Opry will also offer new and old country music throughout the show.
Tickets are $12 for adults; $5 for children 12 and under. They can be purchased in advance at Beach Bum BBQ and the Mathews Visitor and Information Center in Mathews and at Marketplace Antiques in Gloucester. Tickets may also be purchased at the door on show night starting at 7 o’clock.
