The 2023-2024 school year is almost here, and open houses will be held next week in Gloucester and Mathews counties to give students and parents the chance to meet with teachers and get ready for opening day.
In Mathews, the three county schools will hold open houses from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23.
Gloucester County Public Schools’ open house schedule extends for three days. On Tuesday, Aug. 22, open house for those entering ninth grade will be from 4-5:30 p.m., and for 10th-12th graders from 6-7:30 p.m. On Wednesday, Aug. 23, open house for pre-K through second grade will be held from 1-5 p.m., with sixth grade open house from 5-7 p.m. On Thursday, Aug. 24, open house for grades 3-5 will be held from 1-5 p.m., and 5-7 p.m. for grades 7-8.
