One recipe, two loaves: bread’s done, leaving time for new adventures

“I am not a cook, I just love to bake,” confides Bronwyn Hughes who moved to Mathews 20 years ago. “I use one recipe only because it’s easy to make. It tastes so good and only requires four ingredients and rises only once.”
The love of baking started for this Washington, D.C, lady following college graduation. She worked in a bakery.
You may have seen Bronwyn’s two loaves of bread posted on Facebook. In the first post I saw, Bronwyn was not pleased. She didn’t think the bread had risen as it should have. In a few days two more bread pictures appeared with this caption: “My simple crusty bread turned out well this time. It always tastes good, but sometimes it doesn’t rise to this healthy shape. Lesson from this batch? Make sure the yeast is fresh.”
