Members of the Middle Peninsula Amateur Radio Club were active on Saturday from Dr. Walter Reed’s Birthplace in Belroi, sharing news of Gloucester and Mathews counties and information about Dr. Reed over the airwaves during the local segment of the Garden Club of Virginia’s Historic Garden Week tour. Thane Harpole of the Fairfield Foundation shared additional historical accounts, as well as discussed current projects at both this site and other archaeological sites in the area.
