Omega Christian “Kitty” West Dawson, 92, of Dandy, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017.

Born in Gloucester County, she married Wilbur T. Dawson in 1942, and resided in Dandy during her married years.

Mrs. Dawson was a York County school bus driver for 17 years, and enjoyed bowling, working in her yard, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur T. Dawson, her son, Wilbur T. Dawson Jr.; two brothers, and one sister.

She is survived by her two daughters, Muriel Coy and husband Michael of Yorktown, and Terresa Rowe and husband Thomas of Yorktown; sister, Alice C. West of Gloucester; five grandchildren, Rachel Ann Hogge of Richmond, Lynn Watkins and husband Keith of Amherst, Ohio, Bradley Dawson and wife Tina of Baytown, Texas, Tonia Sibley and husband Blair of Middlesex, and Todd Rowe of Yorktown, and five great-grandchildren.

Family received friends from 1-2 p.m. at Amory Funeral Home in Grafton, Sunday, Aug. 20, with a service immediately following. Burial was held at Peninsula Memorial Park following the service.
