An old-fashioned Gospel sing will be held on Saturday night at Gwynn’s Island Church of the Nazarene, 1009 Cricket Hill Road, Hudgins.
The featured group, Promised Land Quartet, hails from Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. The members, Gene Hamman, Joey Wilson, K.C. Armstrong and Aaron Swain, have been together for 17 years. They have performed with other groups such as Gold City, The Hoppers and The Dixie Melody Boys.
They have performed on the main stage at the National Quartet Convention in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, in 2015 and 2016, received a Dove Award Nomination in 2008 for Southern Gospel Album of the Year. They also appeared on Daystar Network on shows Great American Gospel and American Gospel Onstage.
Special guest singer will be Michele Hudgins Thacker of Mathews. She performed many years at Donk’s Theater.
