All courts and county offices in Gloucester and Mathews will close at noon Wednesday, Nov. 24, and remain closed the rest of the week in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Schools in Gloucester will be closed all day Wednesday, while schools in Mathews will close at 1 p.m. Wednesday, and all will remain closed through the rest of the week.
Gloucester libraries will close at 2 p.m. Wednesday and remain closed through Friday, but will be open for regular hours Saturday and Sunday.
Mathews Memorial Library will close at noon Wednesday and remain closed through Saturday, then will open from 2 p.m. on Sunday for "Deck the Hall."
DMV customer service centers will be closed from Thursday through Saturday and will reopen Monday, but selected services will be available via DMV’s automated telephone service at 888-337-4782 or online at www.dmvnow.com.
ABC stores, waste facilities, and the EZ Pass office will be closed Thursday only.
