October is Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog Month, and we want to encourage you to spend some time this month spreading the word and educating your friends and family about the importance of adopting shelter animals.
The ASPCA estimates that approximately 3.3 million dogs enter animal shelters across the country every year. There are several ways you can help a shelter dog this month.
Adopt! Make room in your heart and home for a dog in need of a forever home. Shelter dogs are loyal best friends. Our adoption process is fairly quick, depending on if the adopter is ready and if the pet is prepared to go home. We want to make the best connection for your family, and we are committed to finding the match for you. To celebrate Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog Month, you can choose your own adoption fee for all GMHS dogs six months and older.
