Nuttall’s chef focus of next Movie Night at Mathews Museum

“Journey on the Chesapeake, the Way Back Home” will be shown Friday for Movie Night at the Mathews Historical Museum, 200 Main Street. Doors open at 6:30 and the movie is at 7. Admission is free.
A press release said the documentary film by Dave Miller tells the story of Win Goodier, a chef and waterman, which “will take us on a journey of local paths less traveled while capturing stories of the culture, history, and cuisine of people living around the Rappahannock and York rivers of the Chesapeake Bay of Virginia.”
Goodier is chef at the Nuttall County Store, which serves as the social center of the Ware Neck community. It houses the post office, a grocery store, a kitchen that produces prepared foods to go as well as a selection of hand-cut meats, a deli, a wine shop, a gift and souvenir area, and a crabbing and fishing supply area.
