Machicomoco State Park, Hayes, has a variety of programs for people to explore and partake in as the park enters its last month of the summer season.
People are invited to sign up for night hikes, a guided kayak paddle, or learn the basics of camping. People are also welcome to explore the park during its Junior Ranger Scavenger Hunt and become an official Virginia State Park Junior Ranger.
“We will have lots of fun and family-friendly programs for you to attend and create lasting memories,” said Chief Ranger Josh Mazzatenta.
For more information on upcoming programs, visit the park office, call the park office at 804-642-2419, or visit the park’s website at www.dcr.virginia.gov/state-parks/machicomoco.
