Northern Neck Ginger Ale, Tab on chopping block

Soda connoisseurs around the country are mourning the loss of two beloved products that are set to be discontinued by Coca-Cola: Northern Neck Ginger Ale and Tab soda.
In news that started to break last week, Coca-Cola announced that the coronavirus pandemic has shifted their product line, and that they’ll no longer be producing either soda.
Fans of the sodas are pleading with the company to reconsider.
Three separate Change.org petitions have started to save Northern Neck Ginger Ale, a beloved soft drink in Virginia. The largest petition has over 6,000 signatures, another petition started by Virginia resident LaWanda Kelly has 3,400 signatures, and a third petition started by a fan group called “Northern Neck Ginger Ale Lovers” has 3,000 signatures.
“Many people depend on this beverage after a long day or just to wash down a meal,” Kelly writes in her petition. “Keeping this beverage in production will keep many smiles in place.”
