The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Baptist General Convention of Virginia, along with the Chickahominy Baptist Association, donated 40,000 pounds of non-perishable food to the Good Samaritan Helping Hands Ministry, Inc., of Gleaning Baptist Church in Harcum last week. Gleaning Baptist then donated 14 pallets of that food to neighboring food pantries in the Gloucester-Mathews area. Dr. Stuart Scott, Dr. Elisha Burke, Dr. Stephanie Wilkes and Sister Francine Hunter were instrumental in this process, along with many volunteers.
