NNO season kicks off Oct. 15

The Northern Neck Orchestra’s 32nd season kicks off with a matinee performance on Sunday, Oct. 15, conducted by Music Director Michael Repper, featuring Benjamin Britten’s playful Simple Symphony, the Virginia premiere of Jessie Montgomery’s dazzling Rounds for Strings and Piano and Ludwig van Beethoven’s epic Symphony No. 7.
The concert at the Northumberland High School Theater, 201 Academic Lane, Heathsville, begins at 3 p.m. and will be preceded by a pre-concert talk by Repper at 2:15.
Tickets for the performance are $40. Tickets for the entire four-concert 2023-2024 season are $128, including a special holiday concert on Dec. 16 in Kilmarnock. All tickets may be purchased online at www.northernneckorchestra.org or at the door. Students are admitted free.
