The Northern Neck Orchestra’s 2023-2024 Chamber Music Series will feature trios for clarinet, piano quartets by Schumann and Brahms, a performance of Bach’s six suites for solo cello in two parts, and new music for voice and string quartet.
“The chamber music series will highlight the dazzling skills of world-class musicians performing both classic works and new compositions,” said Moises Cunha, Artistic Director of the series and Concertmaster and Principal Violinist of the Northern Neck Orchestra.
Brazilian musicians pianist André Golbert and clarinetist Iura de Rezende, Venezuelan violist Luis Bellorin and American soprano Natalie Vatcher will be performing in the series for the first time.
The chamber music series will open on Sunday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m. at Good Luck Cellars, 1025 Goodluck Road in Kilmarnock, with Clarinet Trios. The concert will be performed by Cunha, de Rezende, and Golbert.
