In conjunction with Black History Month and regional NNK250 commemorations of America’s semiquincentennial, the Lancaster Virginia Historical Society and members of the Nickens family will present “A Family’s Journey into the Life and Legacy of The Honorable Armistead S. Nickens” as both an in-person and virtual program at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24.
The event is free and open to the public, but donations are appreciated to support LVHS. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. for first-come, first-serve seating at the Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock. For Zoom access, viewers should visit lancastervahistory.org or call 804-462-7280 for the registration link. A recording will also be posted later online.
