A triumphant band of teens who sell newspapers on the streets for some of New York’s major publications rejoice at making the front page during the 1899 newsboys’ strike by gleefully belting out “King of New York” in the Court House Players’ production of “Newsies,” which opens tomorrow, Friday, April 18, for a two-weekend run in the Harry M. Ward Auditorium at Mathews High School. Performances are at 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday, and at 7 p.m. next Friday, April 25; 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. next Saturday, April 26; and 3 p.m. next Sunday, April 27. Tickets are $22 for adults and $10 for students, available at courthouseplayers.org and at all three CHP ticket outlets, listed on the website.
