Everything is going on smoothly and quietly at Mobjack, where the sun shines brighter in winter, and the breezes blow cooler in summer, than any other place in Old Virginia.
Mr. Major, Agt., retired from Old Point, has moved to Mobjack, his new home. Mr. and Mrs. Major are valuable accessions to our little burg, and we cordially extend to them the hand of hearty welcome.
The Mobjack Oil & Fish Co. is busy at work erecting their plant on Shirk Point near here. They expect to be ready for work the coming season.
Mr. H.S. Rockfellow met with a very painful and serious accident on last Monday week. While at work on Mr. Howell’s new house he was struck in the eye by a nail which glanced from his hammer with great force. Dr. Henderson, his physician, sent him to New York to an eye specialist, who is hopeful of restoring his eye at least to partial sight.
