A new session of Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism’s Wild Explorers Camp for ages 7-11 has been set for Aug. 7-10. The fee is $75 and the deadline to register is July 30.
Youngsters get a chance to spend the day with a park ranger, learn about conservation, trail safety and outdoor skills while exploring Beaverdam Park’s ecology. The program runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. all four days.
Those attending are encouraged to dress to get dirty and wear sturdy shoes. Bring a lunch and drink each day.
BASKETBALL CAMPS: Gloucester PRT is sponsoring basketball camps for ages 6 to 13 years. On July 17-20, 6-9 year old boys will meet from 6:30-7:45 p.m. and 10-13 year old boys will meet from 5:-6:15 p.m. On July 24-27, 6-9 year old girls will meet from 5-6:15 p.m. and 10-13 year old girls will meet from 6:30-7:45 p.m. All camps will be held at Achilles Elementary. The fee is $60 per camp and the deadline to register is July 14.
