No citizen worthy of the name can help feeling pride in the new High School building here or in the fine buildings at New Point and Cobbs Creek. They mark a new era in the educational progress of Mathews County and cannot be too highly appreciated. Recognizing this every good citizen should not only be willing but should desire to contribute as much as he is able.
The School Board of the Westville District has done its part by putting up the amount of money they promised and as the building will soon reach a stage where the contractor will have to be settled with, it is necessary that the patrons also live up to their bargain. Those who have no desire to help should go look at the building and if that does not make them feel generous, nothing will.
