New Point High School reopens after diptheria cases

The death angel visited the Gwynn’s Island home of Mr. Andrew Callis last week and took from it a dear little baby boy about four years of age, we sympathize with them in their bereavement. There is much sickness on here this fall. —Wild Rose

The New Point High School has opened after a period of inaction. Dr. Hoskins closed the school several weeks ago on account of several cases of diphtheria which had broken out in it.
Little Ned Hodgson, of Cardinal, while cranking an engine in his parents’ motor boat the other day, had his arm broken by the kicking back of the engine.
The ladies of Central Church will give a bazaar at the Junior Order Hall, here, on the night of Dec. 3, for the benefit of the parsonage. Useful and attractive articles will be on sale. Oysters and ice cream served.
