New dog runs at Animal Control

“The community deserves a big thank you because they stepped up.”
Thanks to funds raised by Friends of Gloucester County Animal Control, three new runs have been installed on-site at Gloucester County Animal Control.
“Now we have five runs,” said Jim Woodward, a board member of FOGCAC.
FOGCAC raised approximately $9,000 for the additional fencing and construction. All of the fencing was taken down to rebuild the previous runs and build the three new ones. Fencing was reused as much as possible.
“The community paid for this through the donations,” said Woodward.
Also included with the project was “an escape-proof pen for our jumpers,” according to Woodward.
The bigger pens can even have two dogs running around in them at the same time.
“We provide funds for the things that the county budget won’t support,” he said about FOGCAC.
