Brothers and Sisters United Church in Christ, located on Maryus Road in Hayes, is a non-denominational church led by Pastor Felicia Mallary.
Originally from Brooklyn, N.Y., Mallary moved to Hampton when she was in high school. The Navy veteran is the mother of five children.Mallary has been in ministry since 2004 and has been saved, she said, since she was a young child. She picked up her mother’s Bible at the age of seven and she memorized the Lord’s Prayer. At the age of 12, she studied Amazing Facts Bible series at her aunt’s church and completed it, which gave her a hunger to obey God and his Word.
“God’s words just glowed to me. At that age, I was saved and knew what it was to be saved,” she said.
Mallary said that she also did missionary work where she would visit nursing homes and visit the sick. It was then she had prophets from various churches that told her that she was called to ministry.
