Two plant walks organized by the John Clayton chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society will be held this month.
“Backyard Natives” is the subject of the walk at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 22, at the home of Joan and Jim Etchberger at 100 Woodland Road, Williamsburg. For more information call Joan Etchberger at 757-784-6870.
Also, in “Plants and Butterflies,” Adrienne Frank and Gary Driscole, joined by Helen Hamilton, will walk around the Warhill Tract, 4725 Stadium Road, Williamsburg, at 10 a.m. July 29 to watch butterflies collect nectar from native plants. Those taking part should park in the last area past the Williamsburg Indoor Sports Complex in front of the community garden, a release said. For more information, call Helen Hamilton, 757-564-4494.
