The John Clayton Chapter of the Native Plant Society, which includes both Gloucester and Mathews counties, will hold its native plant sale from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, at the Williamsburg Community Building, 401 N. Boundary Street.
Members and others interested are invited to attend. The sale will have native plants that are well-suited for the region, and will include perennials, trees and shrubs. A plant list will contain information about each plant’s proper growing conditions and the beneficial insects, pollinators, and wildlife they support.
The chapter will also have informational handouts and experts on hand to help people select the right plant for the right place.
