The King and Queen County Sheriff’s Office will participate in National Night Out with a pair of events on Aug. 1 and 8.
National Night Out is a national law enforcement movement. This event lets law enforcement mingle and get to know their community. This event helps the community see that law enforcement officers are humans and far more than just a uniform, a release stated.
In the southern end of King and Queen County, the event will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 1 at King and Queen Elementary, 24667 The Trail, Mattaponi (Aug. 3 is a rain date).
In the northern end of the county, the event will be held from 6-8 p.m. the following Tuesday, Aug. 8 at the Upper Ruritan Club, Walnut Spring Road, St. Stephens Church (Aug. 10 is a rain date).
