Nancy Eloise Fourney, age 80, of Hayes, passed peacefully at home, with her family by her side, on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Nancy was born on July 6, 1943 to the late Clarence and Evelyn Jones Campbell. She worked for many years as a housekeeper for hotels. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Burt Fourney, and her sons, Richard Philip Fourney and David Wayne Fourney; sister, Gloria J. Collins; brothers, Stephen and Duane Campbell, and granddaughter, Rachel Angelic Fourney. Nancy is survived by her sister, Sharon Root (Donald); son, Michael John Fourney (Julie); sister-in-law, Verda Campbell; grandchildren, Charlotte, Brandon, Justin, Heather, Amanda, Cheyanne, Ricky III, as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was an avid reader, loved spending time with her family and friends, as well as gardening. Nancy also enjoyed beach walks and ice cream shops with her granddaughter and best friend, Sherri Nicole Jenkins (Kevin), and great-grandson, Kevin N. Jenkins Jr. At her request, a graveside service will be held at Peninsula Memorial Park on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 11 a.m.
