The Mid-Tidewater affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness is again offering its Family-to-Family Education Program.
The classes will be held online on Tuesdays starting Jan. 7, 2025, at 6 p.m. for eight weeks. There is no charge, but registration is required. Established over 20 years ago, Family-to-Family has helped more than 300,000 family members of people living with mental illness, a release said. The U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration has added Family-to-Family to the National Registry of evidence-based programs and practices. The free 8-session online course for family members is taught by other family members who have received intensive training for its presentation.
