NAACP announces community art contest

The Gloucester Branch of the NAACP has announced its second annual community art contest with the theme, “Justice Through Unity.” This year, the NAACP would like artists to highlight the power of community and solidarity in the fight for justice.
Submissions will be accepted from March 4-14 at the Fine Arts Museum of Gloucester, Main Street Center, during museum hours, which are Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Submitted work will be displayed for judging and viewing during museum hours from March 18-28.
There will be cash prizes for first-, second- and third-place winners. Submitted artwork must be no larger than 14”x20” and must be transportable.
Flyers and entry forms with full information will be available on the NAACP website at gloucesternaacp.org. This information can also be requested through email by contacting gloucesternaacp@gmail.com.
All entries must include a completed entry form and be submitted by Friday, March 14, at 5 p.m. to be accepted.
