Music on Maple returns for three seasonal concerts

Music on Maple, a series of outdoor concerts co-hosted by the Mathews County Historical Society and Mathews Visitor and Information Center, will return beginning in May.
Three seasonal concerts will be held under the stars in the courtyard at the Thomas James Store and courtyard at 44 Maple Avenue in downtown Mathews. They feature regional music talent, a local food truck, and libation, with guests surrounded by the historic architecture of the Sibley’s and James Store historic district, said the release.
The spring concert will be held from 6-9:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6, the weekend of May Faire. Jonathan Brown will be featured, while the main act will be Me and My Muse, a folk/country duo from central Virginia.
Food will be by Gumbeau’s Catering, with beer by Gloucester Brewing Company.
