Music camp begins July 9

A music camp for children ages 8-18 will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday through Friday, July 9-14 at Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church, 2011 Old Ferry Road, Gwynn.
Participants will be able to choose from five classes: guitar, ukelele, kazoo, drum and vocals. Stringed instruments will be taught to rising second graders and older, while percussion and vocals will be for kindergartners and up.
The week will begin with a spaghetti dinner for participants and their parents at 6 p.m. Sunday and will end with a performance at 6 p.m. on Friday, said spokesman Jerry Ligon. During classes in between, there will be a general gathering, followed by breaking into classes for instruction. There will be a break each evening, he said.
Instructors will include Scott and Robin Eno, with special guests Dusty Dowdy, Hunter Owens, and Pastor Ed Jordan.
