To mark the 25th anniversary of the film “Happy Homes and Fertile Farms on Smiling Waters” by the late Eugene C. Hudgins, the Mathews Museum will stage a free showing next week.
The movie date is Friday, July 10, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and showtime at 6:30.

Hudgins narrated the 111-minute film and it includes many notable features of Mathews, as well as people. The movie was shown to a packed house at the museum, located at 200 Main Street, last year.
