Muriel E. Cooke, 89, of Gloucester, died on May 24, 2023.

She was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Gloucester.

Survivors include daughters, Geraldine Edlow and Barbara Huger; six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Harriet Howard; husband, Leon J. Cooke Sr.; son, Leon J. Cooke Jr.; siblings, Delores Cooke and William Howard, and one great-grandson.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until service time.
