The Middle Peninsula Fine Arts Association begins 2023 with a lecture on Thursday, Jan. 19. Jeffrey Allison of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts will speak on the topic “An American Silence: Walker Evans and Edward Hopper.”
The program begins at 7:15 p.m. and will be held at Arts on Main, 6850 Main Street, Gloucester. All lectures follow this schedule and are free and open to the public.
Additional lectures have been announced as follows:
Feb. 16, poetry by Reyn Kinzey on his latest book, “Chasing the Dragon”; Kinze’’s publisher Jeanette Johansen will join the lecture;
March 16, Intro to Ikebana by Kate Cole, and
April 20, Botanical Illustration by Patrice Hobbs.
