The Middle Peninsula Classic Cruisers, which recently closed its 2023 season, ended up raising nearly $4,000 for local charities this year, according to club president Pete Martina.
Founded in 2005, the MPCC is an organization for owners and enthusiasts of classic automobiles to exchange ideas, technical information, and advice regarding the preservation and appreciation of classic autos. They host weekly Cruise-Ins from April through early November at the Main Street Center parking lot, Gloucester.
The club divided its charitable efforts among six organizations. The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office’s Shop with a Cop program was the largest single beneficiary—$2,000. The final MPPC show of the year, held on Nov. 4, was held as a benefit for Shop with a Cop, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization created to help Gloucester children in need.
