Specially decorated bulletin boards were put up by members of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 75 at all five Gloucester elementary schools, celebrating April as the “Month of the Military Child.” Each school will have monthlong activities to recognize the military students. This coming Monday, April 15, is the “Purple Up” day where people are asked to wear purple in support of the military child. The five elementary schools will ask their students to wear purple on that day. This one was put up at Petsworth Elementary.
