Money available for workforce training

Financial assistance is available for workforce training for graduating seniors of Gloucester High School or Gloucester County homeschool students.
The Abingdon Ruritan Club offers a grant of $1,500 per year for two years. This is for seniors who will attend a community college, vocational or trade school. The club also provides $6,000 scholarships, $1,500 per year for four years, for seniors planning to attend a college or university.
To be considered for this financial assistance, complete the Abington Ruritan Club’s Workforce Training Scholarship form or the Academic Scholarship form. The application forms and criteria may be obtained through the student’s Gloucester High School Naviance account or by stopping by the GHS counseling office for a paper copy. They are also available on the club’s website, www.abingdonruritanclub.com.
