Following its monthly meeting next week, the Rappahannock River Railroaders will hold a repair clinic for all model trains. Additionally, the club will hold an open house after its December meeting, all to be held at the club layout on Ballpark Road in Deltaville.
The club’s monthly meeting, where all are welcome, will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9. From 10 a.m. until noon (or longer, if needed) there will be a repair clinic. “If you have Dad’s old Lionel or HO trains from any era and want to see them run or get repaired, bring them by and we’ll give you all the help we can,” a release stated.
Following its Saturday, Dec. 7 meeting at 9:30 a.m., there will be an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. where club members will show their layouts and have fun running trains, as well as a sale of trains and surplus items. “With Christmas coming, this is an opportunity to find what you need for pennies on the dollar,” the release stated.
