Mathews High School seniors were able to get a taste of life in the “real world” last week, as the school’s guidance department matched up students with employers in the community in their field of interest, having the students go through what it’s like to apply for a job. Each of the students prepared a cover letter and resume and took part in mock interviews last Thursday in the school’s library. Here, MHS senior Catherine Moore interviews with Robby Sorey, owner of Howard-Dooley Café. This is the first time this popular program was held since before the pandemic.
