The Mobjack Music Festival will be held from 2-10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, at the end of East River Road in Mobjack.
Local band Mary and the Janes, which organized the grassroots festival, will perform at 7 p.m. Throughout the day, featured bands will be the Carolyn and Mike August Band, Tara Mills and Jimmy Stelling, and Last Call Band.
Asian-American food from On the Flip Side food truck will be available for purchase, along with non-alcoholic beverages and water. Festival T-shirts, koozies, and band merchandise will be sold, as well.
It’s suggested that those attending bring lawn chairs and their favorite beverages. There will be a bonfire.
The concert is free, but donations will be accepted to offset the cost of the musicians. Any proceeds left will be donated to Episcopal Relief and Development for hurricane relief and to Mathews Meals on Wheels.
