The VCU School of Nursing has secured a Tappa-hannock site for its Mobile Health and Wellness Clinic.
Beginning this month, it will be located at the Tappahannock-Essex Volunteer Fire Department Station 1, 620 Airport Road, Tappahannock, on Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
BSN students are doing health promotion, chronic disease education, screenings and referrals. They will also have their CAHN van, with four exam rooms, and FNP students available for urgent care and transitional care, with the goal of supporting and linking to local primary care providers. Those over 18 with or without health insurance are welcome.
