Minnie Rose Newell of Mathews County, passed away on August 13, 2024 at Walter Reed Convalescent Home in Gloucester. She was born on April 28 1928 in London, England, to Thomas and Charlotte “Lottie” Potter.

She moved to the United States of America with her husband, James Henry Newell, in 1981 and lived in Mathews for 43 years.

She leaves behind her son, James Henry Newell; her granddaughter, Lindsay Page Newell, and her grandson, James Henry Newell Jr.

She will be missed. Andrews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
