Mildred Leigh Thompkins Williams, 88, of Gloucester, died on Sept. 18, 2023. She was a native of Mathews County and a member of Wayland Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughter, Rowena Green; sisters, Lois Smith and Gladys Johnson; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, Benjamin and Dorothy Smith Thompkins; husband, Frank Williams; daughter, Leola Johnson; siblings, Louise Brooks, Benjamin Thompkins Jr. and Robert Thompkins Sr.

A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday in The Church of Abraham, Gloucester, with viewing from 11 a.m. until service time.
