A funeral for Mildred Lee Jarvis, 104, of Mathews, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Zion Baptist Church, Cardinal. She died Monday, March 5, 2012.

She was born on Aug. 18, 1907 and was preceded in death by her parents, Fannie Brown and Milton Morris Sr.; husband of 51 years, George Rodney Jarvis Sr.; her son, Charles Leon Jarvis, and a grandson.

She was a member of Zion Baptist Church, Cardinal.

Survivors include a son, George "Junie" Jarvis; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Pastor Johnny A. Wallace will conduct the service and burial will be in Trinity Cemetery, Foster. There will be no public viewing.

Forrest Brothers Funeral Home, Hudgins, is in charge.
