Mihee USA Cleaners opened for business July 2 at White Marsh Shopping Center, White Marsh. Owner Mihee Hutchins of Gloucester runs the business full-time. She works alone.

Mihee USA offers dry cleaning, alterations and repairs for all types of clothing. Also, the company sells an assortment of sewing products.

Many years ago, Hutchins said she "started playing with a sewing machine" and has enjoyed sewing ever since as a hobby. Before starting her own shop, Hutchins worked for dry cleaner/alteration shops in Newport News and Virginia Beach.

Originally from South Korea, Hutchins has lived in Gloucester for 17 years.

Her husband, Joe, is a truck driver. Their son, James, 18, works at the Sonic restaurant in Gloucester.
