Michael Diggs, age 22, of North, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012.
He was born and raised in Hampton, Va., and was a 2007 graduate of Phoebus High School. He was an avid outdoorsman.
Michael worked on the water for several years and was currently employed as a plumber with Lewis Dixon & Son Plumbing, Heating & Irrigation. He was a member of the East River Hunt Club and the Master of the Hounds.
He is survived by his mother, Katherine Kearney of Hampton; his father, James Lee Diggs and step-mother, Lona Diggs of Harcum, Va.; two brothers, James (JJ) Lee Diggs Jr. of Harcum and Kristopher Lee Diggs of Port Haywood, Va.; maternal grandparents, Frank (Granddad) and Nancy (Gran Gran) Kearney of Hampton; a paternal grandmother, Rosemary White of Mobjack, Va.; step-grandmother, Joan Holloway of Harcum; uncles, Frank Kearney IV of Hampton, Va., Weldon Diggs and his wife Gloria and Brian White and his wife Jenny, both of Mathews, Va.; and aunt, Lisa Dameron and uncle Jeffrey Dameron of Northumberland, Va.; many cousins, and his favorite dog, “Dixie,” also survive.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Vernon Grant White and uncle, Vernon Keith White.
The family received friends Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in Providence Cemetery, Miles, Va.
